It seems that we hear the term “ergonomic” more and more often throughout our daily lives. There is a good reason for this. We have come to realize that the way we position our bodies while we do certain tasks will have a major impact on the way that we feel. If we do the same thing every day while sitting or standing in a sub-optimal way, it is common to develop physical ailments.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines ergonomics as “an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely.” It is important to have your daily home and work stations analyzed for proper ergonomics.  Whether your day includes sitting in front of a computer or frequent lifting and bending, proper ergonomics can help you avoid injury.  One of the major side effects to repetitive movement that is not ergonomically correct is that your spine struggles to stay in alignment, which can lead to a myriad of problems. We are happy to make recommendations to improve your home and work stations.
